Rotorua’s Easy Win For Dunlop Shield
Owing to a road blockage, the Poverty Bay tennis team which was ' to have met Bay of Plenty at Opotiki in a Reid Cup match at the week-end was unable to travel and ,the fixture was postponed to this coming week-end. Instead, Whakatane played Rotorua at Whakatane for the Dunlop Shield, Rotorua winning comfortably, 12—4. v Details (Whakatane players mentioned first): — Women’s Singles: Miss Hall lost to Mrs Lee /6/, 5/6; Mrs McDonald lost to Mrs Garlick 2/6, 1/6; Mrs McKenzie lost to, Miss Larsen 3/6, 3/6; Miss Carter lost to Mrs Jackson 3/6, 1/6.
