Exciting Game At Wliakatane
Fine weather marred by a slightly gusty wind which made little difference on the green was. experienced by the Whakatane Bowling Club on Saturday. Competition in club games was keen while . the challenge by Latta’s team against Carling’s team, the holders, for the Smith Stars provided some exciting play, the challengers losing by 19 points to 26. Results: —
Smith Stars. Carling, E. J. Bell, Cockerell, Grant 26 (holders) beat Latta, J. W. Wilson; Dixon, Henderson 19 (challengers).
