OHOPE SCHOOL PROPOSITION IS STILL “IN THE AIR”

There is no further ne.ws yet about the Ohope school. It will be remembered that, just before the holidays, officers of the School Committee and the Ohope Parent-Teacher Association met an official of the Education Board and discussed the possibility -of reviving the Caledonian Sports ground proposition, previously turned down by the Board’s architect. Also, there were negotiations with the trustees of the Presbyterian Church property at the Beach to have a portion of that ground made available temporarily. So far, there has not been a meeting of the trustees to consider that proposal, and the secretary of the School Committee, Mr J. H. Duthie, has heard nothing further from the Board.
