Bobby Calf Season
The New Zealand Co-operative Pig Marketing Association Ltd. report another successful Bobby Calf season. Altogether some 378,500 calves were handled on behalf of the 79 Bobby Calf Pools, of which 65 were North Island Pools, thg balance being in the South Island. Fdr these calves the nett cash payout at farm gate to producers, after deducting all charges, will amount to £400,184, which will reach pliers by the end of January.
