Whakatane A Comes Third

Rotorua A retained the Jenkins Challenge Cup in a clay bird shooting competition between teams from Tauranga, Whakatane and Rotorua at Rotorua on Sunday. Tauranga managed to draw with Rotorua A, each gaining 52 points with Whakatane A third with 49 points. Competition was keen and the Whakatane men were just not able to make the score of the other teams. Results:— Whakatane A, 49 (G. Pulis 7, W. G. Kenyon 9, W. Tyssen 7, W. Hume 10, J. Plamus 9, S. Kerr 7); Rotorua B 47.
