Whakatane School Fair

The Whakatane District High School Committee, teachers and pupils are making a big effort for their fair to-morrow, in an endeavour to raise funds to buy a modern vacuum cleaner for the school. A display of physical education by pupils of all ages has been arranged, and the seniors girls will take part in a mannequin parade to exhibit some of the clothing made during the year. Each school house will conduct a stall, and the committee members will manage a variety of side shows. Various classes of school work—drawing, painting, clothing, woodwork—will also be on display, and afternoon tea will be available.
