Unlicensed Driver
Teku Teata was fined £2, costs 23/-, for exceeding 40 m.p.h. on a motor-cycle, on the WhakataneTaneatua highway and 5/-, costs 10/-. for driving the cycle without holding the necessary driver’s license. Transport Department Traffic Inspector, J. Kehoe, said he had checked Teata at 50 m.p.h. and, when he stopped him found he was licensed to drive a car or a heavy trade motor but not a motor-cycle.
