Tonnage Handled By Whakatane Harbour
The total manifest tonnage handled at the Whakatane Harbour for the year ended September 30 was 34,216 tons,'more than the total amount received by Tauranga and Opotiki combined, is shown in the Bay of Plenty Port statistics presented at the annual meeting of the Whakatane Harbour Board on Friday. Tauranga received 14,593 tons and Opotiki 12,475 tons. Whakatane handled 126 vessels at 10,784 tons compared with Tauranga 102,- 11,921 tons, and Opotiki 56, 5,750 tons.
