TE TEKO W.D.F.F.
The November meeting of the Te Teko Women’s Division of Federated Farmers was held in the Domain. Mrs Thomas opened the meeting and routine business followed. It was decided to make a donation of £2 2s to both the Leper Appeal and the Orphanage Appeal. Arrangements were then completed for the Children’s Christmas Party which will be held, wet or fine, on December 4 in the Domain at 1.30 p.m. Mrs. Gardiner then read a most interesting letter giving a graphic description of the ceremonies in Holland to mark the abdication of Queen Wilhelmina and the coronation of Queen Juliana. Birthday flowers were presented to Mesdames Hutton, Nation, Pattison, Gooneble. Competition winners were:— Mystery parcel: Mrs Pattison 1. Best lettuce: Mrs Watson 1, Mrs Harty 2. Best bloom: Mrs Harty 1, Mrs Hutton 2. Afternoon tea, served by Mesdames Goodwin and MacDonald, brought the aftemocn to a close.
