Canine Screen Test
Turhan Bey’s pet Great Dane, Hector, failed to pass a screen test for a in Bey’s latest picture, “Out of the Blue.” Director Leigh Jason watched Hector go through his paces and then made a quick thumbs down decision. “Can’t use him,” he explained. “We’d lose too much production time. He’s so big that when he sits down it takes at least four seconds before his back end touches the ground.”
