House At Otakiri Destroyed By Fire

A fire completely destrpyed a house, owned by Mr J. A. Busby, Johnston’s Road, Otakiri on Saturday. The outbreak was apparently unnoticed until it was too late.

Mr Busby was attending a wedding at Whakatane when the fire occurred. It is thought to have broken out about midday. A member of the returned soldiers’ settlement scheme, Mr Busby had the and furniture covered by insurance.
