Awakeri Women’s Division Meets.

The Awakeri Women’s Division of Federated Farmers’ held the October meeting in the Awakeri Hall. Mrs Haultain presided over a very good attendance, several new members being welcomed. Business was efficiently dealt with, and it was decided to send £lO to the Community Chest. Mrs Roberts gave a most interesting demonstration on bandaging and, with the roll call oh First Aid Hints, some very valuable knowledge was gained. .

There was an excellent number of entries in the monthly competitions which resulted as follows:

Fruit: Mrs Barr 1, Mrs Wilson 2, Mrs Roberts 3. Flower: Mrs Wilson 1, Mrs D. MacDonald 2, Mrs N. MacDonald 3. Vegetable: Mrs Fabish 1, Mrs Roberts 2, Mrs C. Butler 3. Six heaviest eggs: Mrs Missen 1, Mrs Roberts 2, Mrs L. Carter 3.
