Christmas Carnival Committee To Meet
Will there be a Christmas Carnival at Whakatane this year? It will be recalled that last year’s carnival had to be called off at the last moment on account of the poliomyelitis epidemic, but the organisation, was kept intact with a view to reviving the scheme this year. Neither last year’s chairman, Mr C. L. Jordan, nor the secretary, Mr L. D. Lovelock, will be available for those duties this year, but the carnival committee is to be called together again soon to consider whether or not to go ahead this summer.
