In receipt of a letter from the Rangitaiki Branch of the Bay of Plenty Province of Federated Farmers, the Whakatane Chamber of Commerce has decided to get in. touch with the Borough Council in an effort to clean up Whakatane’s parking: problem. The Farmers’ letter alluded to the fact, recently mentioned in the Beacon, that there are so many vehicles permanently . parked in the business area that it is hard for mere shoppers and farmers who have business to transact. - to find space at all.
