Cricket At Edgecumbe: Fixture For Sunday
The Edgecumbe Cricket Club started the ball rolling with a practice at the Domain on Sunday. Over two dozen keen cricketers took advantage of the perfect day and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Judging from talent displayed the club should be able to field a strong team in the forthcoming competition. . On Sunday a friendly game will be played at Edgecumbe against the Te Teko team, and the following players are to meet at the Domain by 9.30 a.m.: L. Thurlow, K. Tunnicliffe, K. Phillips, K. Civil, F. McDonald, S. Wyre, M. Lang, J. Campbell, R. Hunter, J. Porter, R. Treloar, T. Anderson, K. Williams, R. Salvidge, D. Cornwall, M. Cooke, T. McManus. United Cricket Team The United Cricket Club will play Opotiki on Saturday and following is the team: N. E. Rigden, L. R. Spring, G. Howard, M. Le Pine, W. J. McKenzie, I. Wyatt, J. Yates, W. Crawford, P. Comiskey, E. Chamberlain, N.'* Carter. . Transport will leave Mr Rigden’s residence at 8.30 a.m.
