Help From St John Ambulance Brigade

Expression of his appreciation of the help of members of St John Ambulance Brigade who recently provided volunteers day and night to assist at the Hospital with a case of concussion was placed before the Bay of Plenty Hospital Board by the medical superintendent, Dr E. T, Dawson, yesterday. He suggested the Board should send formal expression of thanks to the Brigade. On Mr L. Buddie’s motion, carried unanimously, the Board decided to write thanking the Brigade and enclosing a donation of 5 guineas. Several members spoke eulogising the work of the St John organisation in this district.
