Whakatane Men’s Golf Championship Finals The finals of the Whakatane Golf Club’s championships played during the week-end resulted:— Senior: N. Ducker beat K. Hannah. Intermediate: D. Bull beat A. Bridger. Junior: P. Campbell beat J. Thomas. The Medal competition played on Saturday resulted:— Veterans: W. D. Steel 78 ; —9—69, C. M, Hyland 80—7—73. 1 „ Colts: H. B. Moen 96—28—68, R T. Morpeth 82—11—71. Next Saturday’s fixture is a Medal competition to be played in 3-ball formation. Women’s Golf Winners ;of thq October L.G.XJ. Medal: A, Mrs Berg, 92—18—74; B, Mrs Bushett, 113—35—78; C, Mrs Stewart, 119. ' Today and on Saturday a Stableford Bogey will be played by partners arranged at. the club house. The second round of Championships is to be played by Sunday.
