Te Teko Ladies’ Golf Club’s Annual Meeting

The annual general meeting Of the Te Teko Ladies’ Golf Club was held recently, Mrs'L. B. Smith presiding over a good attendance of members. In presenting her report for the year Mrs Smith said she considered the Club was now well established. The 3 ' standard of play had improved, and players had had a very enjoyable season. During the year the Club held its first Open Day, a venture which proved very successful, all proceeds being given to the food for Britain campaign. Mrs Smith said she very much regretted that ill-health made it impossible for her to accept office again. She concluded by thanking all members, and especially the committee for their help and co-operation during her term of office. 'S The following officers for the 1949 season were elected: Captain, Mrs C. B. Balfour; secretary, Mrs J. W. G. Caldwell: assistant secretary, Mrs Hendl; committee, Mesdames L. B. Smith, J. Thomas, W. Burr and J. Moulded. Before the start of the meeting Mrs W. A. Hutton on behalf of the members, presented Mrs Smith and Mrs Balfour with floral sprays in appreciation of the work they had done during their four years of office as captain and secretary.
