Cricket At Galatea
The United Cricket Club commenced its 1948-49 Reason on Saturday with a friendly match against Galatea. As was to be expected for the initial match, 1 most of the playwere badly out of form and sooring was low. However a very . enjoyable day was experienced and United eventually won by 35 runs on the Ist innings. Galatea, Ist innings. 74 (Nettleton. 21, Le Pine 7 for 30). 2nd innings 105 for 9 wickets (Rowland ! 38, Goodhue 28). „ United Ist Innings 109 (Chamberlain 39, Spring 25, Crawford 22).
