Otakiri Tennis Opening

Approximately 50 members and friends attended the opening of the Otakiri I*ennis Club on Saturday. Mr O. Lord, president, welcomed, visitors and members. Mrs V. Peck and Mr Geo. Whalley, joint ,Club Captains, capably handled the organisation of the Yankee Tournament programme, which started after Mrs Peck hit the first ball of the season. There was a delicious, afterpoon tea. Winners were: Women. Mrs Peck; men, J. Blair. Consolation prizes: Women, Miss L. Bell; men, C. Lockyer.
