Fat Children Often More Intelligent
The intelligence quotient of exceptionally fat children is.somewhat higher than that of average or normal children, states the Swedish doctor Hans-Olof Mossberg, jwho had made, an exhaustive study of 500 discharged cases from children’s hospitals in Stockholm. The shape and size of the body, the evolution of puberty and of mental characteristics .clearly indi-/ cate that the physical and mental development is ahead of that of normal children of corresponding ages. At the age of 25-30, the differences in physique are . apt to become less pronounced or even to disappear entirely. This refers particularly to boys; girls stay fat longer and often find themselves handicapped in competition with their more normal sisters; the doctor says.
