Nurses Farewelled

A pleasant little function was held at the Whakatane Hospital when Miss A., Carwardine and Miss P. Winstone were the guests of the Matron and Sisters at a farewell function before their departure overseas. Both were the recipients of gifts and good wishes. Miss Carwardine left on Friday morning for Hamilton en route for Wellington. Miss Winstone leaves this morning. They are due to sail on October 18 from Wellington on the “Tamaroa” for Melbourne and after spending a few months in Australia connect with the “Moreton Bay” leaving Perth *WA in January for England
