Power Failure

Monday’s power failure in the Borough was caused by a short-cir-cuit through a faulty insulator on the main feeder line several miles from the Sub-station. Power was leaking through the cracked porcelain and into a wet pole. A fault of that nature is always difficult to de-. tect% and searchers patrolled 17 miles of line twice before they got it corrected. Power was off for Pearly three hours. Naturally, it immobilised the, Beacon’s plant, and that is why the paper was printed and- delivered late on Monday.
