Competition Keen At Whakatane Spring Station Cattle Fair

New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. Ltd., report having held their Spring Station Cattle Fair at Whakatane on Monday.* A full yarding in excess of the advertised number of stock auctioned to a large and representative bench of local and outside buyers. Cattle came forward in good order and competition was keen throughout the sale with prices realised being well in accordance with those prevailing in other centres. Prices follow: Fat bullocks £l7 to £23 ss; fat cows £l2 10s to £l7 ss; fat heifers £l4 12s 6d to £l7; store bullocks £l4 15s to £l6 10s; I.C, cows- £8 ss; 2 year heifers' £lO to £ll 6s; yearling steers £5 15s to £8 16s; yearling heifers £4 5s to £6 2s.
