Fordson Majors Came Through Hard Test On Friday
Fordson Major tractors came through a hard test on Mr Kingi’s farm, Awakeri, on Friday. Six tractors were in use, pulling 3-furrow ploughs, '2-furrow ploughs and single furrdW swamp ploughs, 8 aside tandem discs, and a set of 6-a-side giant discs. All gave a very impressive demonstration. Ground was hilly, but the very steep grades only showed up the pulling power of the Fordson Major. Also on display were two Fordsons fitted with mowers and a hay sweep.
