Coinage Change-Over
The process of changing over to • cupro-nickel coinage v/ould be gradual and would take years to com- - plete, the Reserve Bank stated when commenting on reports that old New ' Zealand silver coinage would be fully replaced by cupro-nickel coinage in seven or eight months. The bank added that in the meantime there was no foundation for the suggestion that old silver coinage would to be legal tender.
