New Zealand Has Material For Paper
Confidence that the technical difficulties involved in the economic use of New Zealand timber for paper making would be overcome was expressed by Sir Keith Murdoch, chairman of the Australian Newsprint Mills, Ltd., in Rotorua. Sir Keith has spent two days touring the forests in the Rotorua and Taupo districts. “I saw an unbelievable number of trees,” said Sir Keith. “Some parts were very impressive. There is ho doubt that New Zealand has a vast amount of raw material for paper and pulp making.”
