Traffic Offenders Fined In Court
Prosecuted by the Transport Department’s Traffic Inspector, Mr K. R. McD. Sharpe, before Mr E. L. Walton S.M. in the Magistrate’s Court at Whakatane yesterday, the following offenders were .dealt with: Piri Paora, operating a vehicle with defective lights and no warrant of fitness, fined £l, costs 21s, on the fife charge, iand fined 10s, costs 10s, on the second. ** Paki Whai'ewera, same charges as Paora, and the same penalties. Ron Smith, truck load projecting too far over back axle, fined £l, costs 10s.. E. R. Marryatt, negligently driving a light truck on the Ohope road, fined £l, costs 14s. N. E. Rigden and Co. Ltd., operating a trade motor without a warrant of fitness, fined 10s, costs 10s.
