Dismissed as Trivial
An assault charge against Pani Olsen, married woman, who was alleged to have struck a 7-years-old child, was dismissed as trivial. Mr Otley, for the defendant, entered a formal plea of not guilty, admitted the facts as alleged, but submitted that the matter was trivial, and could therefore be dismissed, a view with which His Worship concurred. It was.admitted the defendant had slapped the child’s face, but her statement was that she % was “wild” at the time, over some things her daughter had lost.
