Cruelty Not Proved

The Magistrate held the Police charge against Heta Hohepa, alleging cruelty to a horse at Te Teko on June 1 had not been proved, for though there was evidence that a horsq owned by Hohepa had an injury to the lower part of its face there was no evidence that it was caused by any specific aot of cruelty by Hohepa on' the date mentioned in the charge.
