Laughton In “The Bribe”

Charles Laughton has checked in at M.G.M. for the start of his role in “The Bribe”, joining Robert Taylor and Ava Gardner before the cameras. It marks his first appearance in five years at the studio where he twice has been under contract previously. Since ' leaving M.G.M. in 1943, the veteran star has been free-lancing. Robert Z. Leoni ard, who directed Laughton in two pictures earlier is directing the new film, produced by Pandro S. Berman.
