Star In “Act Of Violence”
Berry Kroeger has been selected for one of the top roles in M.G.M.’s “Act Of Violence”, co-starring Van Heflin and Robert Ryan. The New York stage and radio actor, making his screen debut in “The Iron Curtain”, will portray Johnny, softspoken but grim killer-for-hire. ■He forms the third side of the tense triangle with Heflin and Ryan. Signing of Kroeger, who recently completed his second film role in “Chair For Martin Roome” —since his arrival in Hollywood, rounds out the cast of principals, including Heflin, Ryan, Janet Leigh, Mary Astor, Phyllis Thaxter and Connie Gilchrist. Fred Zinneman, widely acclaimed for “The Search” is directing “Act of Violence”. William H. Wright is producing.
