Miss B. Norris, who flew over to Rotorua last Saturday to be tested by the Air Department examining officer, Mr McDonald, became the first woman member of the Opotiki Aero Club to gain her pilot’s A license. Miss Norris passed the flying and oral tests with great credit to herself and the club’s instructor, Mr G. Gummer. An Opotiki A.T.C. Cadet, Mr S. Lambert, was also successful in liis examination.
