PRELUDE TO ACTION?
The number of Education Board heads who have been in Whakatane over the past few weeks and the number to arrive in the next few days suggest a keen awakening of the Board to the needs of Whakatane. In the past four weeks there' have been seven officials visiting Whakatane. They were Mr A. Bell, Ward member on the Auckland Education Board; •Mr Hill, the Board’s architect. Mr G. K. Hamilton, chairman of the Auckland Education. Board and Mr Hume transport officer to the Board are to arrive today to confer with the committee.
