Hole In One
H. S. Cantrell playing at the Whakatane Golf Links the Saturday before last played a perfect shot to the sixteenth hole the ball running right into the hole. He very nearly repeated the performance last Saturday, but the ball pulled up a few feet from the hole. This is the second time this season that a player of the Whakatane club has holed-in-one; K. Hannah being the first, earlier in the season.
