Ranapia And Ratahi For Maori Tour Of Fiji
H. Ranapia and P. Ratahi, both of Paroa, have been suggested by the Whakatane Rugby Sub-Union to the Bay of Plenty Union as candidates for inclusion in the New Zealand Maori team to tour Fiji. Ranapia has represented New Zealand Maoris before, and was picked by the “Rugby Almanac” as one of the Bay’s best forwards last year. So far this year he appears to be right on form. Ratahi, though not so seasoned in representative Rugby, has played consistently well this year. Fit and enterprising, he can be relied upon to work hard in any pack.
