Te Teko Women’s Division

The June meeting of the Te Teko Women’s Division of Federated Farmers was held in the Domain Pavilion and in the absence of Mrs Thomas, Mrs Pryor opened the meeting. Mesdames Caldwell and Hendl gave a very interesting and informative demonstration of smocking. Birthday flowers were presented to Mrs Cannell by Mrs Newman. The mystery parcel, which was won by Mrs Cannell, gave rise to much amusement, for Mrs Newman the donor, had neatly constructed a miniature washing set complete to clothes line and clothes. The competition winners were:— Best bloom: Mrs Butler 1, Mrs Hallett 2. Baby’s garment: Mrs Newman 1, Mrs Butler 2.
