Whakatane Plunket
The Whakatane branch of the New Zealand Plunket Society is at present negotiating with the Housing Department for a building site in Stewart street for the construction of a new Plunket room in the new State housing block. The committee is donating a dressed doll for competition, the proceeds of which will be sent to the Mothercraft . Training Centre in London. This centre suffered severely from bombing : during the war.
