New Massey Courses

A slight lessening in the number of ex-servicemen requiring agricultural courses has permitted Massey College to arrange for two courses in Seeds and Fertilisers, for men employed by commercial firms. A demand for such- courses has been in evidence since before the war.

The two courses, which will run from August 31 to October 8, and from October 12 to November 19 respectively, will each be limited to about 20 junior members of the staffs of grain and seed merchants and stock and station agents, for whom board at the College hostels can be arranged. The syllabus will include a study of soils, pastures and crops, shelter belts, plant diseases ahd useful organisms, animal and insect pests, stock food and licks, and farm machinery used in sowing and harvesting. Enrolments close at the end of June.
