British Wool Figures
Wool consumption in Britain is still rising. Production of wool tops, says the New Zealand Wool Board is the highest since the war, with a weekly average of 5.67 million lbs in the four weeks ending March 31. The present labour force of the industry, estimates the Board of Trade, is 194,000 —an increase of about 1,500 on the previous month.
