Hospital Statistics
Last month there were 155 patients admitted to the Whakatane District Hospital and 140 discharged. Five patients died. There were 48 births in the maternity annexe. Fifty minor and five major operations were performed during the month and the total number of patients in the hospital at the end of April was 99.
