“Brass Hat’s” Visit
Brigadier R. S. Park, Officer Commanding Northern Military District, Colonel F. Cookson, United States Military Attache, Colonel W. L. Thornton, Deputy Commander of Northern Military District, and Captain M. G. Fowler, Area Commander, spent Tuesday night at Whakatane during a “look about” tour of the North Island. The party travelled on to Rotorua via Galatea on Wednesday.
