Everyman’s Tent The Simple methods employed by Mr C. C. Graham the noted ; Bible lecturer, are attracting a good audience of interested hearers each night to Everyman’s tent. Mr Graham will lecture again on Sunday at 8.15 p.m. choosing as his subject, one that always has a strong appeal to all: “Heaven—what is it like? Will we know our loved' ones?”—P.B.A.
Music Group The Whakatane music group, sponsored by, the Adult Education Service met at the High School this week, Leader Mr McLean, secretary Miss Lawes, recorder Mr Owen Simonsen. The group decided upon a study series of choral music covering the development of the human voice in concert from the early Middle Ages to modern styles of choral writing. Meetings will be fortnightly, starting May 31, New Tramping Club There is evidence of a very definite ' interest in Mr ‘K. Mayclair’s proposal to form a Tramping Club at Whakatane, and he wants all those interested to leave their names at Tysson’s Sports Depot, Commerce Street, as soon as possible. They will be notified soon of the time and place of the inaugural meeting. At’ that meeting, the Club will be properly constituted, officers elected, and a programme of activities mapped out. It is hoped also to arrange the first outing at an early date. Men and women of all ages are eligible for membership, and will be welcomed.—P.B.A.
