Bride Chooses Cream Magnolia Satin Frock A very pretty wedding was solemnised at the Methodist Church, Whakatane, when Miss Julie Grace Klink, second daughter of Mr and Mrs V. Klink, 13 Hawera Street, Whakatane, became the bride of Mr Robert John Gilmore, eldest son of the late Mr and Mrs R. J. Gilmore, Kairua, Tauranga. The Rev., F. Climo conducted the service, Miss G. Kenyon was organist. The solo “Because” was sung by Mrs Climo. The bride, escorted by her father, wore a gown of deep cream magnolia satin, with a cowl neck, and pointed bodice,' a full skirt falling into a long graceful scalloped train appliqued with a spray of grapes repeated on the shoulder line. Her veil was embroidered with lilies and held in place with a silver sequin Juliet cap finished with a coronet of orange blossom. She carried a bouquet of cream dahlias. The bridesmaids, Miss N. Klink, of Auckland, cousin of the bride, Miss T. Massey, Miss P. Stuart and Miss A. Klink, bride’s sister, wore frocks of blue and white rose patterned dimity voile cut on simple lines. They carried Victorian posies of pink shaded dahlias and fuchsia.
Mr Brian Lambert was best man and Mr Joe Heap groomsman. , The reception was held in the Caledonian Hall, after which the guests went to the home of the bride’s parents to see the hgppy couple leave on a tour of the South Island.
