Falling Tree Wrecks Roof
About 3 p.m. yesterday a whirlwind of terrifying intensity hit the Heads. Only actual damage was done by a big ngaio tree which was brought down athwart the roof of a bach on the hillside. Property of the Tippett estate, the bach had fortunately been recently vacated by its tenant, Mrs Stewart, and was unoccupied at the time. The roof was considerably damaged.
