Bay Of Plenty Presbytery Welcomes New Ministers At Monthly Meeting
At the April meeting of the Bay of Plenty Presbytery a welcome was extended by the Moderator to the Rev. R. T. Dodds of Whakatane, and Rev. J. A. L. Carter, Maori Missionary of Opotiki who took their seats on the Presbytery for the first time.
The Clerk of Presbytery reported that the convener of the Moderator’s Arrangement Committee had written intimating that the Rev. J. Dr Smith,' 8.A., Would be accepting the Bay of Plenty Presbytery invitation to visit the Charges within the bounds. -This visit will probably take place in September. The sympathy of the Presbytery was expressed to the Rev. C. M. and Mrs Sullivan, Dunedin, in the tragic loss of their daughter in the blizzard in the Copland Pass.
