Cat Cuts Off Power

Chased Bird Across Borough Feeder Lines Power was off in the Allendale area and the Borough water works between 1.30 and 2.15 o’clock yesterday morning when a cat caused a power arc across the main 22,000 volt feeders at the Borough’s main transformer station. Evidently the cat had been chasing a bird across the outside switch gear, because what was left of the cat was still clinging to what was left of the bird. Death in the moment of victory!
