Indoor Basketball Club Elects New Executive
It was with regret that the annual meeting of the Whakatane Indoor Basketball Club accepted the resignation of the president, Mr P. Dixon, who over the last year has done so much for the club both in coaching and in support at their matches. Mr Dixon has had to relinquish his duties as president owing to pressure of work. However, he said that he would be only too glad to give all the asssitance he could to the club in the coming year. He is presenting a cup for competition each year, , Nominations were called for positions on the executive, and Mr M. Duley was elected'president and Mr P. Bridger vice-president. Honorary vice-presidents are Messrs. C. S. Armstrong, R. Morpeth, J. D. Rivett, Tyssen, C. Kingsley-Smith, N. Mathews, B. Butler, A. Bridger, E. Bridger, H. Armstrong; secretary-trea-surer, Miss V. Head; assistant secretary, Miss M. Parr ell; committee members, Messrs. Burke, Sax and Misses Miles and Trask; referees, Messrs. M. Duley, R. Sloane, C. Burke; coaches, Miss M. Farrell and Mr R. Sloane. The club colours are to be red and white., r
