Rubbish, With Care

Following complaints made to Cr A. D. O’Rourke and conveyed by him to the Borough Council, rubbish men are to be asked to take more care of the rubbish tins they handle. Cr O’Rourke pointed out to the Council that a decent container costs quite a sum these days, and he said his informants claimed theirs had been unnecessarily bashed about.

Other Councillors and the Mayor, Mr Barry, pointed out that citizens themselves should be more careful wha# they put in the tins. Some of the sticky messes took, a lot of shifting, and some of the oans themselves were a disgrace, anyway.
