Found In Girl’s Room
Kenneth William Goodwin was fined £3 and 10s costs for being found without lawful excuse in the staff quarters of, the Commercial Hotel in the early hours of February 7. Sergeant Collinge said about 3 a.m. oh February 7 one' of the housemaids > at the hotel awoke to find a light flashing in her room. When, she called out, a man ran away, but was caught by a male member of the hotel staff who had a room nearby. Goodwin said he wanted to buy some liquor. For Goodwin, Mr Barry said there was no suggestion of any sinister motive. Goodwin had been to a party and had Imbibed more than he could carry. He was blundering about the place- looking for a barman to sell him some beer.
